Kitchen Questions

Asked Every Walk-Through

Can we live in the house during the remodel?

Almost everyone does. We keep a working sink and a temporary cook station running as long as the schedule allows, seal the work zone behind dust walls, and sweep the site every night. You’ll be sick of takeout by week four — that’s the honest part.

What does a kitchen usually cost?

Refreshes land in the mid five figures; full guts with layout changes run higher, structural work higher still. Your bid has one number and itemized allowances, so upgrading a faucet or downgrading tile moves the total transparently — before we start, not after.

Who picks the finishes?

You do, with guardrails. The bid includes allowances for cabinets, counters, tile, and fixtures. Stay inside them and the number never moves; go over on the range you fell in love with, and you’ll see the difference in writing first.
